Pine and palm warblers tend to arrive first. But the Yellow-Rumped Warbler—a hardy, abundant bird of the far north and high elevations—comes pretty early, too. And in high numbers. In fact, this colorful spring bird tends to stick around well after it’s taken on the muted plumage of fall. Here’s a bright, spring one.
