Savannah Sparrows occupy a soft sopt in my heart. For one thing, around their breeding territory they’re not overly shy, so you can often creep close enough for intimate portraits. For another, they seem such a perfect display of Nature’s evolutionary magic. Mostly, though, I’m just in love with their delicate-yet-far-ranging song.
