When the winter solstice approaches, my Beech Hill hikes often last until twilight. Under an overcast sky, dog and I find ourselves surrounded by an even dimmer landscape , when the light that lingers above the inlands hills lets me record the kind of mood you sometimes get when taking in this particular view.
