Many of the species on my Beech Hill bird list were just passing through. Or, more specifically, passing over. Double-Crested Cormorant, Glossy Ibis, American Coot—these are just a few species I’ve only seen on the wing. Mostly (although not always) I see Bald Eagles this way, too, like this handsome adult with a single-minded expression.
